Called and made Qualified...

Hey friends! This week I'd like to do something different. I thought it would be fun to look at some of the giants of our faith so that we can better understand that in some ways we are a lot more like them than we realize. For instance, none of them where "qualified" they were broken, but through the work of the Holy Spirit what they had to offer became enough, because Christ in them was/is more than enough.

I thought this verse would be a good reminder for you this week, 2 Corinthians 3:5 says:

"It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God."

This verse is so true, we often think we have to somehow find away to make ourselves qualified for whatever task is set before us. However, that couldn't be further from the truth. We get our qualification from God, let's take a look into the Bible there are so many people God used who where more than unqualified in there own strength.

Let's look at a few people:

Moses: born the son of a Hebrew slave, but raised as the prince of Egypt. He had a hard time speaking oh, and did I mention he also killed a man, yet God still used him to free the nation of Israel.

Peter: he denied Jesus three times, yet Jesus said he would use him to build his church. Even though he denied Jesus, God still choose him.

Paul(also known as Saul): he literally went around killing Christians, it was basically his job. Then Jesus came into the picture changing the then Saul to one of the most influential men in early church history Paul.

All of the people listed above at some point where told they could never do it or maybe they even told themselves a time or two they would never be qualified to follow through with there call. That's the thing, it was God who called them and it was God who got them through it. God doesn't call the qualified, he qualifies the called.

I think this is a lesson that we as believers so often tend to forget, it is never what we can or cannot do it is always what God can and will do.

Much love friends,

Alianna
