Captivated by the Presence of God...

Have you ever been so captivated by something, that it became the only thing you could think about? What do you think would happen if an entire generation became so captivated by the presence of God, that that became the only thing we could think about? Think about this question as you continue to read today. As I sat down to write today I am reminded of a verse found in Habakkuk 2:3 which says,

"For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay."

There is a time and place for everything that happens here on earth, and with it there is a purpose. Marked out by the Creator of the universe. So often I think we let our busy lives keep us from simply setting and just being still, waiting and listening to that still small voice, the whisper in the wind. I mean, be honest here. When was the last time you just sat in the presence of God and soaked it in, all He has for you and what

He is trying to teach you? I know I'm just as guilty of letting life get in the way of simply taking the time to grow in my relationship with my Creator. Often we make excuses as to why we can't take even just five minutes a day to simply thank God for letting us live another day! When we let ourselves believe that its okay we can do it tomorrow, we eventually get stuck in this cycle of life where we keep putting it off until we can't remember the last time we simply opened our Bible.

Getting out of this cycle is so easy, it starts by taking that first step, whether it be waking up ten minutes early to read your Bible and thank God for another day. Or maybe your like me and you like to read at night, so take ten minutes out of your night time routine at give that time to God! Are you a writer? - Then journal, use your words to express what you think about what you have read. Are you into music? - Listen to worship as you read, in fact if your not a reader listen to worship and pray as you let your soul be filled with His presence.

There are countless ways you can go about being intentional in building your relationship with your Creator. Bible journaling has always been a way I love to express what I'm reading and how it applies to my life, but that is just one of the many ways!

I have found that no matter what you are going through in life, when you take the time to be intentional about getting into the word your day will instantly become better. The more time we spend with our Creator the more joy filled our lives will become.

I want to circle back to the question I asked at the beginning. What would happen if an entire generation of people became so captivated by the presence of God, that He was all we could think about? I'd love to hear your thoughts! I believe, we would see breakthrough and miracles. Signs and wonders. Revival and beauty unlike anything you could ever imagine.

I love what Isaiah 26:3-4 says,

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal."

Much love friends,

Alianna
