Goodness of God...

Something I have been thinking about lately is the goodness of God. It is hard to comprehend that we are freely given grace and love from an unfailing Father. I love what Psalms 23 tells us, It reminds us that no matter what is going on His love and mercy will never fail. Verse 6 says, "Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever".

I think it is such a great reminder that no matter where we go or what we may be going through He is always right there with us and He will never leave us or forsake us. The very next chapter is my favorite psalm, I love how it starts "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. For he laid the earth's foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths". It is an amazing reminder of the might of our God.

When I read through these verses I am constantly reminded of just how good God is! No matter what it is I'm walking through I know I can always count on Him to get me through. I know I can take joy in knowing that He is for me and not against me, He goes before me and comes behind, and He is always right beside me. When I think of the goodness of God, I can't help but remember all the times He has walked me through fire and helped me out on the other side and the countless miracles He has preformed within my own life. When I'm at my lowest I remember my life itself is a miracle.

So next time you find yourself in a low place remember what God has done for you and all the times He has helped you through the battles and brought you through the victor. I want to leave you with the ending to psalms 24,

Open up, ancient gates!

Open up, ancient doors,

and let the King of glory enter.

Who is the King of glory?

The Lord, strong and mighty:

The Lord, invisible in battle.

Open up, ancient gates!

Open up, ancient doors,

and let the King of glory enter.

Who is the King of glory?

The Lord of Heaven's Armies -

he is the King of glory.

As always remember you have a God-given uniqueness!

Shalom ~ Alianna
