Life is full of ups and downs. As believers we can place our hope in the fact that our God heals the broken-hearted and walks along side them. However, knowing that He is there does not mean that the pain will automatically go away or that it won't exist. In fact, its the opposite. Scripture tells us that we will walk through trials, but we can take heart in the fact that Christ has already overcome the world and all the trials we will ever face.
I've recently had to walk through some trying times and one thing that has continued to give me peace is knowing that I do not walk alone. I serve a God who is always right there with me and I know He is for me and not against me just as He is with you. Psalms 147 tells us,
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. -Psalm 147:3-5
When we are brokenhearted we can find rest and hope in the love and mercy of our God. He is good and He is kind. I take courage in the fact that my God is always with me and He loves me so much that even if I was the only person on earth He still would have sent His son to die in my place so that I could spend eternity with Him in Heaven. The same is true for all of you. He will be your rest if you will only let Him be.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. -Matthew 11:29
So, yes there will be heartache and problems in the world and there will be pain, but we can find hope, joy, and peace through the blood of Jesus. Through relationship with our miracles working God. No matter what life throws at us we have hope that our God will work it out!
