Can I be honest with you guys for a minute? Life has definitely looked different than I expected it to look over the last few months. Between triumphs and tragedies to mountain top moments and valley moments. Life has been a mix of trying and devastating at times and full of joy and peace at other times. I honestly don't really have the words to describe how I've felt, so many emotions all at once. Which has got me thinking a lot about God's grace. Understanding that it is because of His grace that I have been able to walk through this past season.
God's grace is sufficient for all of our needs. His grace is more than enough no matter the season. One of the most trying times of the last few months for me, I found myself overcome with emotion as I stood on stage at church trying to lend my soprano harmony to worship. A tragedy had just struck my family with the loss of a beautiful soul, I'm fairly certain I spent the entire day fighting to keep my tears from falling. It was in that moment I was once again reminded the His grace is enough for every season.
In the midst of loss the only thing that really made sense was that God's grace was and will always be enough. I love what 2 Corinthians 12:9 says,
"But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."
I had a conversation during this time that has continued to stay with me. I was asked how I could be dealing with such loss and continue to stand worshiping and not completely breakdown. That's when I realized that it is only through the sufficient grace of God that I have been able to carry on no matter the trial I may be facing. It is only through the sufficient grace of God that I can say it is well with my soul.
No matter the season or the struggle, I encourage you friends to find reminders of the grace of our God. It is because of His grace that we are able to keep going. His grace is all we need and it is sufficient for every season. No matter what the season or the storm you may be walking through, God's grace is enough. I don't say any of this for you to look at me, I just want you to understand that it doesn't matter what struggle you are going through. Our God's grace is sufficient for you. He is and always will be enough!
