Life. It's full of highs and lows, those mountaintop moments when we rejoice and those deep dark valley moments when the world seems to be closing in on us. It doesn't matter who you are, at some point you walk through one of these seasons. They're a part of life, joy and heartache, peace, discomfort, but we can be encouraged that we never walk through any season without our God. He is always right there with us.
I don't know about you, but I am nearly always left in awe of who our God is. He is so good, and full of mercy and grace. I recently heard a song that left me in tears, the lyrics say,
"If what I've heard is true.. of you. how can I stand in your presence. If what I've heard is true.. of you then I'll stay in this moment forever... If what I've heard is true of You, then there's not enough words to describe You. If what I've heard is true of You, My Jesus, there's nobody like You"
It's such a simple phrase, but it holds so much power. "I'm so in awe. Jesus, I'm so in awe of You." Our God is a wonder working, promise keeping, miracle working God. He is good and He is kind friends. I know it can be hard to see the good at times and sometimes it feels like the world is crashing all around you, but He is right there with you. You are never alone.
Life often doesn't seem fair, and it can be so hard to see the good throughout the many seasons of life, but I take comfort in knowing that my God is for me and not against me.
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. - 2 Corinthians 12:9
There has never been a moment when God did not have you on His mind. He loves you and He is for you. That thought alone leaves me in awe, it blows my mind honestly. The fact that God knows everything about me and yet He still loves me and wants a relationship with me, it just blows my mind. There is nothing I could ever do that could keep Him from loving me and pouring out mercy and grace on me. I could never earn it, its freely given.
It makes no sense and it is so beautiful. We serve a good God, friends and He loves you so much. I know it doesn't always feel like you have someone in your corner, but you do. God is for you. With nothing left to say, I continually find myself in awe of Jesus.
