Life, it's a continuous journey...

Hi friends! I want to take a minute to talk about something near and dear to my heart. Kindness matters friends. It always matters, whether it is a small act of kindness like giving an encouraging smile to the random stranger you see in the grocery store or if it is a massive act of kindness. No matter how big or small it always matters.

James 3 reminds us of the power our words hold.

"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison. Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God. And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! " -James 3:5-10

There is power in our words friends. So much power. As I mentioned this is a concept that is close to my heart. I have seen first hand what words can do to someone, whether the words be good or filled with hate. It is my prayer that our words would always be life-giving and never taking.

I'm pretty sure at some point in all of our lives we have felt the sting of others words. It is my prayer that we would all be mindful of the words we are speaking and that we would speak life over others.

I know this post was a little different, but I just wanted to remind you all that kindness always matters.

Choose Kindness friends and speak life!

Much love friends,

Alianna
