Power in Worship...

Do you ever wonder why worship is so powerful? Or why when we worship we are filled with joy? Psalm 22:3 tells us that God dwells in the praises of his people. When we worship we are telling God who He is and thanking him for what he has done and is doing in our lives. During times of worship God fills the atmosphere and everything changes.

When we worship God we let him know how very much we need him in our lives. We are told throughout the scripture that we were made for worship. As humans we were created by God, so that we could praise him in all of his glory.

In Psalm 40:3 it tells us,

"He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord."

When we lift up the name of Jesus, it allows his spirit to speak to us on a deeper level. At those moments we open our heart and surrender everything to God and he embraces us with open arms, just as a parent would hug their child. For we are the sons and daughters of God.

Our worship allows him to give us peace, rest and joy, for some of us it may be the first time we have ever felt true joy. There is a war being fought. This war is not against flesh and blood, but against Satan. When we worship we allow God to fight our battles, we give him control.

Worship is a declaration of our weakness and God's strength. The next time you feel down or at your lowest, I challenge you to lift up your voice in worship to the God who can move any mountain that is in front of you.

I love what Psalms 96:9 tells us,

"Worship the LORD in all his holy splendor. Let all the earth tremble before him"

Our worship is our weapon friends! No matter what this life may throw at us, remember that we serve a God who is bigger, better, and stronger than anything the world can throw at us.

Much love friends,

Alianna
