Providence...

I don't know about you guys, but I'm a bit of a word nerd. I was reading in the book of Isaiah not long ago and as I read a certain passage the word providence kept coming to mind. I read the passage a few times and each time the word popped into the forefront of my mind. Now if you look up the word providence it means, divine guidance or care.

It is basically the timely preparation for future eventualities in a sense. I like that definition. "Timely preparation for future eventualities", what a way to describe providence. Let's look at the passage in Isaiah together,

"As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,"

I love these two verses, but I really want you to pay attention to verse 11.

"so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." -Isaiah 55:10‭-‬11

Did you catch that? "So is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty". This is a promise friend! The word of God will never return void. If He said it, it will come to pass. Our God is the God of miracles. All His promises are yes and amen!

The Bible makes it clear that we were created in the image and likeness of God. The imago dei friends. We were created by God and for God, with a unique plan and purpose on each of our lives.

"So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." - Genesis 1:27

No matter whats going on around you or what season you may be walking through, our God is the God of miracles. If He said it I'll believe it, because He will never go back on His word. The word of the Lord will never return void friend.

Much Love friends,

Alianna
