I was having a conversation with my grandma the other day and I was reminded of something I had experienced years ago and I had recently found myself reminding myself of the scriptures that had gotten me through those thoughts and moments. We were talking about how it can be a constant struggle to keep yourself positive and not focus on all the negative around us. We also talked about how it can be so easy to feel unseen, noticed and needed.
She was quick to remind me that I was needed and how thankful she was I'm part of the family, but it got me thinking about how many people there are that have no clue just how much they are needed, wanted, and just what this world needs. It reminded me of all the times I found myself feeling tired and unseen when I was younger. I didn't understand my worth and I thought that I had very little to offer the world around me, and if we are honest I'm pretty sure most of you have felt this way at some point as well.
I once had a conversation with an individual that left me heartbroken by their words, I'm not sure I'll ever forget the conversation and the sadness on there face as they spoke. The conversation went something like this:
"..why is it that no one notices the tears. No one notices the pain, No one notices the sadness, but everyone notice when you make mistakes?"
I've been there myself thinking something similar at one point in time, but I'll tell you what I told the individual. I hope you take these words to heart and know that you are needed and you are enough.
"it feels like no one sees your tears, but God does. I know it feels like no one notices the pain you continuously live with, but God does. I know you think no one sees the sadness you carry everywhere you go, but God does. I know it feels like all anyone ever sees is your mistakes, but God sees you and you are so loved and needed. You are enough, you have always been enough."
Life is hard and messy at times, but it is also beautiful and magical at times as well. I know it can often be hard to feel seen, heard, or needed, but please remember you are loved and needed more then you could ever know.
"The promises of this world are, for the most part, vain phantoms; and to confide in one's self, and become something of worth and value is the best and safest course." -Michelangelo
If you learn nothing else through the words I've written, I pray remember that I see you and I understand. I know it doesn't always feel like you're seen or heard, but I hear you and I see you. You are not alone! My prayer for all of you is that you will have the same response as David when he writes in Psalm 27.
"Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear: though wars breakout against me, even then I will be confident." - Psalm 27:3
No matter what life may be throwing at you, remember you are seen.. anointed.. chosen! You are a Child of the most high and you a world-changing history maker. You're a world-changer and the world will never change you! I believe in you and I pray for you all.
I want to challenge you all this week to take some time to remind those around you just how much they mean to you and remind them of their worth and the anointing God has placed on their lives! You are amazing and you have a uniqueness that only God can give!
I see you.. I hear you.. You are loved and anointed.. Needed and Cherished..
