I don't know about you all, but if it wasn't for grace I definitely wouldn't be here. The last few months have served as a huge reminder for me that without the grace of God, life has a way of feeling completely upside down. it doesn't seem to matter what is happening around me, there are certain things that always seem to remind me that without the grace and mercy of my God, it can feel like nothing is going right.
I love this verse in 2 Corinthians 12,
"Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me." (v. 9).
Grace is a concept we all need, and yet none of us will ever be able to earn. I think that is why it is called the gift of grace. It is something that no matter how "good" someone is or how well they treat those around them we will never be able to earn. None of us are "good enough". In fact, we never will be. That's the amazing thing about the grace of God. It is a gift freely given, one that will never be taken back.
Hebrews 4 tells us,
"So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most." (v. 16).
I don't know about you, but I'm so thankful for the grace of my God! I know without a doubt that I would not be here if it wasn't for that undeserved, and unreserved grace freely given from the Creator of the Universe. Whether you are new to faith or you have been a believer for years. I think we can all agree that the grace of our God is something none of us deserve, and yet we can't live without it.
One last thought straight from Romans 11 about God's grace,
"And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved." (v. 6).
We don't deserve it, but I am so grateful God continues to pour out HIs grace on us friends!
Much love friends,
Alianna
